The history of the college is, in fact, the history of beginning of a new enlightening spirit in the field of education in this region. The word "Panch Pargana" in the name of the college stands for the region consisting of Bundu, Tamar, Rahe, Sonahatu and Barenda while the other word "Kisan" has been added in the former word in the name of the college to indicate the dense population of farmers in this area.

Progressing day by day on the path of development, the college became a constituent unit of Ranchi University, Ranchi in 1986. In 1989 the college was registered under 2 (F) and 12 (B) Sections of UGC Act 1956.

In the beginning the college was run in the morning session in the building of Govt. High School, Bundu. In 1981 the building of the college was inaugurated by the then Vice-Chancellor of Ranchi University, Ranchi Dr. A.K. Dhan but the problem of insufficiency of fund still persisted. At that time the then Hon'ble Minister for Education, Govt. of Bihar late Karamchand Bhagat took a salutary measure to give generously a sum of Rs 4,53,668/ (Four Lakh Fifty three Thousand Six Hundred Sixty Eight only) as a grant to the college.

The then MLA of the Legislative constituency of this area and Hon'ble Minister for Forest and Tribal Welfare of Govt. of Bihar late T. Muchi Ray Munda had been kind enough to add a new chapter in the history of development of the college by giving a sum of Rs 1,00000/- (One Lakh) only for construction of two rooms of the college. In 1988 Late T. Muchi Ray Munda had again been generous to grant a sum of Rs 202100/- (Two Lakh Twenty One Thousand) only for construction of two lecture theatres and also a sufficient amount of fund for fencing round the college campus with barbed wires.

The Hon'ble Member of Parliament of this area Sri Karia Munda has also been very generous in granting adequate amount of money out of his MP fund for construction of four rooms of the college. The college family would always be indebted to Late Karamchand Bhagat and Late T Muchi Ray Munda and Sri Karia Munda for their patronage, to such teaching and non-teaching staff whose selfless service and co-operation brought the college at this height and to all those who, directly or indirectly, contributed to the development of the college.
